Camden Normandie No1 400 KV Line is scheduled to be off from 12-06-2023 to 15-06-2023 from 08h00 – 16h00 for controlled burning under the line

WOF Team – MFPA
WOF Team -MFPA. We urge our members to use the WOF team.
Members can utilize team for:
Fire suppression, mop up and standby
Fuel load reduction
Fire break preparation
Prescribed and control burning
Road maintenance
Patrolling and fence maintenance
Check snares
Erosion control
Environmental clean ups
Fire awareness
Invasive species control
The team may be transported by your own vehicle, free of charge, provided it has railings(900mm above surface) or if seated 350mm above surface. Equipment should be transported separately.
Should you want to use the fire trucks, fees will be R750 call our fee and also R/km will be charged. Please contact Anja for bookings!!

Good morning all. Regarding the burning of slash.
I am reviewing the weather on a daily basis and the present forecast shows no significant follow up rain. As a result of the lack of follow up rain, I cannot lift the current ban.
I will continue to monitor the weather and will lift the ban as and when mother nature plays her part and gives us some meaningful rain.
I will keep giving updates if anything changes.
